Citric Acid

Citric Acid is colourless, weak organic acid, belonging to the family of carboxylic acid. It is commonly used as preservative in the food and beverage industry, used as an acidifier, a chelating agent and a descaler. Due to its antioxidant properties, citric acid also used as an excipient in pharmaceutical preparation. It helps to remove lime scales from boiler internals and evaporators.
